The renewal process is a mult-step process. Builders Clubs that paid their renewal fee in 2016-17 will receive a membership kit in September for the 2017-18 year. The sponsoring Kiwanis club will receive an invoice to pay the 2017-18 renewal fee on October 1. This invoice will appear on the Kiwanis club's secretary dashboard under the Finances tab.

To ensure your club receives enough materials in the member kit, the sponsoring Kiwanis club secretary should complete the following steps by August 31, 2017.

1. Log into the Membership Update Center at www.kiwanis.org/login. Choose the Kiwanis club that sponsors the Builders Club.

2. Select the secretary dashboard icon from the menu on the left side of the screen.
Scroll down to the Sponsorships section and select the pencil icon next to the Builders Club that the club sponsors.

3. Update club info.
Confirm or update the membership count.

4. Update the mailing address.
Verify or update the mailing address (include the attention address line) to which the membership kit should be shipped. If a mailing address is not updated, the kit will be mailed to the Kiwanis club secretary.

5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each Builders Club that the club sponsors.

WHEN SHOULD THE RENEWAL FEE BE PAID?

Starting October 1, sponsoring Kiwanis club secretaries are able to see the renewal fee invoice under the Finances tab on the secretary dashboard. It is important for the sponsoring Kiwanis club to pay this invoice at the earliest convenience so that the Builders Club does not miss out on resources or updates.

WHAT IF MY BUILDERS CLUB IS NOT SHOWING ON THE SPONSORING KIWANIS CLUB SECRETARY DASHBOARD?

WHAT IF MY BUILDERS CLUB IS NOT SPONSORED BY A KIWANIS CLUB?

WHAT WILL I RECEIVE IN THE BUILDERS CLUB PROGRAM KIT?

The program kit includes essential tools to help you guide club members throughout the year. 

WHAT IF I NEED MORE MATERIALS OR HAVE QUESTIONS?

If your Builders Club has more members than provided in the member kit, supplemental kits can be ordered starting October 1 through the Kiwanis secretary dashboard or from the Kiwanis International member services team at 317-875-8755 (worldwide) or 800-KIWANIS, ext. 411 (USA and Canada) or email memberservices@kiwanis.org. Additional kits cost $25 and include member materials for 30 members. Payment must be received before additional kits will be shipped.

WHY HAS MY CLUB NOT RECEIVED ITS RENEWAL KIT?

Here are two reasons why your club might not have its kit:

Renewal kits were only sent to clubs who paid their renewal fee in 2016-17. The sponsoring Kiwanis club secretary should check the Finances tab on the secretary dashboard to see if there are any outstanding balances on the Builders Club.

If the sponsoring Kiwanis club secretary did not update the membership count and verify a mailing address in August, the kit was shipped to the Kiwanis club secretary’s mailing address on file. Contact memberservices@kiwanis.org to check to see which address was used.
