Project HappinessInteractive Advisor Education

This year, Kiwanis International introduced the IDEA Toolkit to Builders Clubs. Written specifically for club officers, the toolkit guides members through planning and executing a service project of their choosing – from beginning to end.

The first step of IDEA is Identify the Need. During this step, members learn how to identify a service need in their school and/or community. Encourage your club members to reflect on their research and what service needs they found exist in their school and community. The essay should include which service needs the club researched and found in their school/community, what details or information did the club find out about the service need, and which service need the club chose and why.

Best essay rules:
  • One person from the club can write the essay, or it can be a group effort.

  • Essays must be submitted as a word document or pdf file.

  • Upon submitting, club members will be asked to include a group photo of the Builders Club, and the first names and grades of members who wrote the essay.
More information on how to submit entries is coming soon! Stay tuned!
