Foundation grants add some power to your project

Kiwanis International Foundation grants help clubs meet the needs of children. Sometimes those children are in your same Kiwanis district and sometimes in the opposite hemisphere. These grants help clubs reach their service-project goals that may otherwise be beyond their financial ability.
Does your club have a project that could use additional funding? Consider applying for a Kiwanis International Foundation grant.
Here’s what you need to know:
●    Grant applications are accepted year-round.
●    Applications postmarked by November 15, 2011 are reviewed at the January Board meeting, and applications postmarked by April 15, 2012 are reviewed at the June Board meeting each year.
●    Applicants are notified of the Board’s decision by letter within 30 days of the meeting.
In order to be considered for a grant, your project should follow certain guidelines. Learn more about these grants and the amazing work that’s been funded on the Foundation website.

I am so pleased to be able to write you on behalf of our Heritage School Builders Club. We are a member of the Tri-Community Kiwanis Club in Phelan located in the High Desert region of Southern California. The purpose of our request is to seek any additional funding that can help us host our annual Veterans' Appreciation Dinner. Our dinner is every November a few days before the actual holiday of November 11. We have been hosting these dinners for the last 18 years and currently we have nearly 1,800 veterans attend each year! We have had the District President attend; we have received awards by the Governor of California, our Member of Congress Jerry Lewis and even a nice note from the President of the United States GW Bush. Our Veterans' Dinner is a special night and have changed lives as you can see by our link here:

Our membership, over 100 kids, is passionate about our community! Please consider any funding to be MOST needed and gratefully accepted! Our community is very small and getting sponsors for our dinner is getting more difficult during the hard economic times.

Mr. Todd Anton is our faculty advisor and has been doing Builders Club for nearly 21 years! Please contact him for any questions!

    Thank You
